Heat treatment

Heat treatment

Optimising the mechanical properties of aluminium castings through precisely controlled heat treatment.

Our fully automated heat treatment systems are certified to ISO  standards, ensuring compliance with the requirements of all industries we serve. The effectiveness of our heat treatment is built on decades of experience. To fully realise the potential of our aluminium alloys, process parameters are precisely tailored to each casting. In addition to time and temperature, the correct positioning of parts within the furnace is essential.

To ensure dimensional stability during quenching, specially designed fixtures are employed for hot castings.

In addition to meeting the requirements of EN 1706 and other international standards, we adjust process parameters according to customer specifications. This enables precise control of the resulting mechanical properties.

Our processes

Aluminium castings are precisely machined using up to 5-axis CNC technology.

Our processes

Our in-house machining department is equipped with a wide range of CNC machines and is tailored to our current casting portfolio. As a customer-focused foundry, we continuously expand this department in line with market demand.

Milling, drilling, and turning are integral to our casting supply chain.

Machining aluminium castings requires a high level of expertise that not every machining provider possesses. The alloy composition and internal stresses of the castings must be carefully considered when selecting tools, process parameters, and clamping methods. Close coordination between the foundry and machining operations ensures optimal alignment in the production of the final component.

Our R&D department continuously develops new processes and materials while supporting the implementation of innovative casting designs.

Our R&D department continuously develops new processes and materials while supporting the implementation of innovative casting designs.

From concept to a finished, ready-to-install component, we provide end-to-end support. Our fully integrated, in-house processes are seamlessly interconnected, ensuring complete alignment of all supply chain aspects through your dedicated contact.

Our team initially focuses on a casting-optimised design, taking into account symmetry and the technical requirements of the component. For parts subject to high mechanical stress, we evaluate finite element analysis (FMEA) and incorporate our design recommendations directly into your 3D model.

In addition to achieving the required mechanical strength, our primary focus is on maximising weight reduction. The goal of optimisation is to achieve the ideal balance between strength, lightweight design, and cost efficiency.

In the final stage of development, the casting process is simulated and validated for feasibility using our MAGMA software, in close coordination with the foundry.

In parallel, our machining specialists determine which areas are suitable and feasible for machining.

We implement customer change requests quickly on-site, while our team efficiently coordinates additional capacity with external partners on a project basis.
